Twist & Shout headlines University of Evansville homecoming We’re planning a very special show,” said Rob Gallas, who plays and sings as John Lennon and is a ’73 graduate of the U of E. “We’ll build to a twist contest to the song (naturally) “Twist & Shout”, then launch into some of the 50’s and 60s Beatles covers for those graduates of the 1958 and 1963 classes. We’re also adding songs from those who influenced the Beatles sound, like Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers and Chuck Berry.” We even do several Beatles songs influenced by country-western artists and then finish with a great selection of Beatles’ hits, both ballads and rockers. All University of Evansville alumni are welcome. The Friday night event is free to dinner guests. Admission to the public at the door is $10.
